Trufluencer ("we", "our", "us") operates the website trufluencer.app (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform. a. Information from Instagram

When you connect your Instagram account, we receive read-only access to your public profile information including: username, display name, biography, profile picture URL, follower count, following count, media count, and account type. We request the instagram_business_basic permission only. We never post on your behalf or access your direct messages.

b. Information You Provide

When you complete your profile, you may provide: city, country, content niches, languages, collaboration rates, and barter preferences. Brands may provide: company name, email, phone, industry, and campaign details.

c. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect standard web analytics data including IP address (used for country-level geolocation only), browser type, and pages visited. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Create and maintain your creator profile on the Platform
• Calculate your TruScore based on public Instagram metrics
• Match you with relevant brand collaboration opportunities
• Display your public profile to brands browsing the Platform
• Facilitate deal management between creators and brands
• Send transactional emails related to your account and deals
• Improve and optimize the Platform

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Public profile: Your creator profile (username, name, bio, niches, city, TruScore, follower count) is publicly visible on the Platform
• Brand matching: When a deal is created, relevant profile information is shared with the associated brand
• Service providers: We use Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for application hosting, and Resend for transactional emails
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Instagram access tokens are encrypted at rest. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Instagram access tokens are refreshed periodically and expire after 60 days if not renewed. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Revoke Instagram access at any time through your Instagram settings
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Instagram Data Deletion

You can revoke Trufluencer's access to your Instagram data at any time by going to Instagram → Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites → Remove Trufluencer. Upon revocation, we will delete your Instagram access token. To request complete account deletion, contact us at hello@trufluencer.app.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
